Yes, i know. I can hardly believe it either. Suddenly our project is about to end. And of course we will go out with a bang! 10 May 2016 we offer a free seminar and workshop on Open Badges in Helsinki, Finland.
Place: G18, Yrjönkatu 18, Helsinki
10.30 (Coffee, registration and networking)
We will present some cases showing how and why Open Badges can be useful, we will sit down with you and help you get started, we will chart unknown territory together, discussing what the future may hold in store for validation.
The event is organized in two parts:
1. a streamed event where you can hear about how badges are used in non-formal adult education and volunteering, and
2. workshops on how to create your own badges and how to earn a badge to display your skills as an educator. you will also hear about the results of the Open badges for Adult Educators Nordplus project.
In the first part you will hear about trends in Open badges, about how the guides and Scouts of Finland are using badges to transform volunteering into competences, and how badges can give added value to folkbildning.
This event is useful for teachers, principals, education professionals (planning officers, specialists, administrators), people active in NGOs, employers, social partners, staff in Universities and VETs.
You can participate in both parts, or just pick the part most useful to you.
The event is free of charge.
Please register no later than 5 May.
If you cannot make it to Finland or to Helsinki, you can also follow part 1 online! Please register to get the link.
All who participate will receive a badge of participation.
The event is suitable for anyone interested in Open Badges and validation.
